Bulverhythe Beach Huts
In the lock down sales of painting by number kits increased by 40% It is such a meditative process People are compelled to do painting by numbers works of their beloved pets or loved ones. Everyday art triggered by compassion and love. The eye wanders and searches for similar numbers is similar to the way you do a jig saw puzzle and the whole starts to emerge. The uncertain future of the world and left hanging in numbers and statistics during the Covid Pandemic is present for me here in thes works.

Confluence Series
Cyanotypes
I live and work overlooking the sea. I create work inspired by it’s beauty in a bid to express the fragility of the underwater ecosystem, which is sadly in danger due to pollution, and rising temperatures.
In my Confluence Series I used the cyanotype process which an early form of camera-less photography. I painted light sensitive chemicals onto paper that is then exposed to the sun with a hand painted and photographic transparency on the surface. My techniques are very experimental.
